Four Cayuga County farms have been recognized for their commitment to environmental stewardship.
The Cayuga County Soil & Water Conservation District has announced that Cayuga View Farm in Union Springs, Elken Dale Farm in Locke, Green Hill Dairy in Scipio Center, and Silver Tree Forest Farm in Owasco have been recognized as recipients of the 2026 Cayuga County Agricultural Environmental Management (AEM) Farm Awards. Recipients are nominated by district staff and partner agencies.
The district said the awards recognize farms that “demonstrate an outstanding commitment to environmental stewardship, sustainable agriculture, and the protection of our natural resources.”
Beyond their environmental efforts, the district added that the awardees are active leaders in their communities who support agricultural education, local organizations, and the next generation of farmers.
