Geneva General Hospital will host a planned emergency training exercise Wednesday morning in partnership with the Geneva Police Department and Geneva Fire Department.

The exercise is scheduled for Wednesday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on the hospital campus and is designed to strengthen emergency response coordination between hospital staff and local first responders.

Residents and motorists in the area may notice an increased presence of emergency vehicles during the exercise and are encouraged to avoid unnecessary travel near the hospital while the training is underway.

Hospital officials emphasized that the event is only a drill. Patient care and hospital services will continue as normal, and there is no threat to the public.

Officials say the training is intended to help first responders and hospital personnel prepare for emergencies and improve their coordinated response to future incidents.
