An overnight structure fire destroyed a home in the Town of West Bloomfield, but no injuries were reported.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a single-family residence on County Road 14 at approximately 11:52 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a report of a structure fire.

When deputies arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters quickly began working to bring the blaze under control, but the residence sustained significant damage.

Authorities said the home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Fire departments responding to the scene included Ionia, East Avon, West Bloomfield, East Bloomfield, Honeoye Falls, Mendon, and Honeoye Falls Ambulance. The Ontario County Emergency Management Office also assisted.

The Sheriff’s Office said the cause of the fire remains under investigation. However, preliminary findings indicate the blaze does not appear to be suspicious.
