A home and an attached garage were destroyed by fire in the town of Waterloo on Wednesday night.
The Border City Fire Department reports no one was home when the fire broke out at the residence on Route 96, and no injuries were reported. A GoFundMe page has been started to help the family.
Border City firefighters were assisted by crews from Geneva, Junius, North Side, Oaks Corners, Phelps, Tyre, Varick, and Waterloo fire departments. Also responding were North Seneca Ambulance, New York State Police, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Codes, and New York State Fire Investigators.
