Cayuga County’s WIC program will soon close its two satellite offices in the county’s northern and southern ends. The county health department announced the Cato and Moravia offices will close effective September 30.

The department added that there has been an increased use of remote appointments over the phone or video and a subsequent decrease in use of the satellite locations.

In-person appointments will continue in Cato and Moravia through August and September. After the closure, anyone requiring in-person services can call the WIC office so staff can determine how to meet their needs.
