Motorists traveling in the Town of Canandaigua should prepare for a long-term road closure beginning next week.

Town officials announced that Seneca Point Road will close to all traffic between Barns Road and County Road 16 starting Monday for a culvert replacement project.  During construction, drivers will be detoured via Route 21 and County Road 16.

The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of October, when Seneca Point Road is scheduled to reopen.

Town officials thanked residents and motorists for their patience and understanding while the project is completed.
