A state appeals court has upheld an Auburn man’s convictions for rape and attempted rape in Cayuga County.
Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced that the Appellate Division, Fourth Department affirmed Weston Rhodes’ convictions for second-degree rape and attempted second-degree rape. Rhodes was arrested after police received a complaint back in June 2024 reporting he had engaged in sexual conduct with a girl under the age of 15
Rhodes pleaded guilty to the charges in November 2024.
He was sentenced in January 2025 to a total of eight years in state prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision.
