Kenneth G. Runner GORHAM - Kenneth G. Runner, age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga. A memorial service will be held in New York in the spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gorham Fire Company; Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance, P.O. Box 41, Gorham, NY 14461; or National Parkinson Disease Foundation of Greater Rochester, P.O. Box 23204, Rochester, NY 14692. Kenny was born in Watkins Glen, N.Y. He was the son of the late Francis and Claribel Ovenshire Runner. He and his wife Sylvia owned and operated Runner's' Clover Farm Market for 20 years in Gorham. He was retired from Ace Automatics in Geneva. After their retirements, he and his wife Sylvia enjoyed winters on Jekyll Island, Ga. He enjoyed his garden, woodworking and painting with oil and acrylics. He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Clarke Runner in 2011. Recently he had been living in Middlesex with his daughter Patti and her husband Dave and had gone with them to Georgia for the winter. Kenny was a former member of Gorham Fire Company and a volunteer with Stanley-Hall-Gorham Ambulance. He was also a former member of the Middlesex Valley Flying Club, where he had earned his pilot's license. He is survived by three children, Patti (David) Charland of Middlesex, Kevin (Brenda) Runner of St. Simons Island, Ga. and Janice (Robert) Peters of Webster; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Melissa) Hilimire, Joshua (Anna) Hilimire, Kimberly Runner, Erin (Jared) Zak, Matthew Runner, Mark (Colleen) Peters, Brett Peters and Chad (Jenea) Peters; four great-grandchildren, Lillie and Seth Hilimire, Cole Hilimire and Leighton Zak; one brother, Douglas (Jolene) Runner; one sister, Ina (Richard ) Blake; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Runner and Louise Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.
