Bonnie J. Smith

Bonnie J. Smith, age 90 of West Bloomfield, NY, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026, at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. Bonnie was born June 27, 1935, in Dansville, NY, to the late Robert and Lillian Sullivan Wallace. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred Smith; daughters, Debbie Montayne and Alice Ann Smith; also her grandson, George Kneibert.

Bonnie was a founding member of the former West Bloomfield Volunteer Ambulance Corps, past member of the West Bloomfield Cemetery Board, a Girl Scout Leader, and was an instrumental figure in many of the activities that went on in the West Bloomfield Community. She enjoyed reading, planting her flower gardens and pots, and her animals. Her most enjoyment came from spending time with her family and their Wednesday night dinners she would host at her home.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Robin (George) Kneibert, Mary Richter, Darlene (John) Goldstin, Gerald Fox, Michael Smith, and David (Kim) Smith; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 4-7 pm at the Merton H. Kays Funeral Home, Inc., 59 Monroe Street, Honeoye Falls, NY. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 10 am at the West Bloomfield Congregational Church, Routes 5 & 20. Burial will be at West Bloomfield Cemetery.
