Dale H. Frankish CANANDAIGUA - Dale Frankish, age 69, of Route 247, died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call on Saturday, February 9, from noon to 3 p.m. at Reed Corners Federated Church, 4030 Route 247, Canandaigua. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Palliative Care Program, P.O. Box 278996, 300 E. River Road, Rochester, NY 14627; or Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Ontario County, Tractor Safety Program, 480 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424. Dale was the son of the late Herbert and Anna Roat Frankish. He was a 1962 graduate of Gorham Central School and got his associate's degree from SUNY College of Technology at Alfred. Dale farmed Frankish Farms with his father for 24 years. He retired from the New York State Agricultural Experiment Station in Geneva in 2005. Dale was a member of Reed Corners Federated Church, Ontario County Farm Bureau and the town of Gorham planning board. In his high school days, Dale's hobby was working on cars and competing in drag races. He loved farming with his Dad and teaching the Ontario County 4-H tractor safety certification program. Dale was fond of spending time with family and friends at Keuka Lake. He also loved going to a cabin in the Adirondacks, where he enjoyed dune buggies, four-wheelers, snowmobiles and socializing with the guys. Dale is survived by his wife of 43 years, Donna Patrick Frankish; four children, Lorae (Alejandro) Yesaki, Shelby (Edgar) Seymour, Douglas Frankish and Mary (Dave LaFleur) Frankish; three grandchildren, Alejandro Yesaki, Trevor Seymour and Daylin Seymour; sister, Faye (William) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham.
