HALL - Floyd James Tuthill, age 89, passed away Saturday (January 5, 2013), at The Homestead Nursing Home in Penn Yan, N.Y.
Friends may call Friday (Jan. 11) from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Hall. A graveside committal service will be held in the spring.

Born in Ava, N.Y., Floyd was the son of the late Stanley and Luella Fox Tuthill. He attended Baldwinsville Academy.
Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps on Nov. 24, 1942, serving as an Aerial Engineer with the 86th Transport Squad, 8th Air Force. He was decorated with an American Theater Ribbon, a European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, with 4 Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Medal, 3 Overseas Bars, and an AAF Air Crew Member Wings. Floyd was discharged as Sergeant on Oct. 29, 1945.
Floyd worked for G.L.F. (which became Agway) from Nov. 1945, until Feb. 1974. He retired from Seedway in Hall, N.Y.
Floyd is survived by his son, Roger (Judy) Tuthill of Vt.; and his daughter, Elizabeth Indivero of Cicero, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
