Penn Yan - Sharon Lee Parsons, age 68, died at her home, after a long battle with cancer, on Sunday (December 30, 2012), surrounded by her loving family.
Friends may call Saturday (Jan. 5) from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon, at the Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home in Gorham. A Memorial Service will follow at 12 Noon.
Sharon was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude Tears Newell. She had worked at Penn Yan Boats.
Sharon is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard L. Parsons; one daughter, Karen (Jeff) Ilnicki; three sons, Arthur (Brenda) Parsons, James (Lori) Parsons and Randy (Melissa) Parsons; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Hancock; and one brother, Larry (Judy) Newell.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Beverly Gilbert and Linda Newell; and one brother, Richard Newell.
