GENEVA – Josephine B. "Peppy" Chester, 96, of Geneva, passed away on
Thursday (November 15, 2012) in the Living Center North.
Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., on Monday (November 19), from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be at 9
a.m. on Tuesday (November 20), in the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. in
St. Francis de Sales Church. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery
Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions, in her memory, may be made to Our Lady of Peace
Parish.
Josephine was born in Geneva and was a lifelong resident. She was the
daughter of the late Nicholas and Rosa Venturino Brell. She was employed
at various places around Geneva including, the Patent Cereal, Montgomery
Ward's, Geneva Forge and the A & P. She was a representative for Avon for several years as well. Peppy was an active member of Our Lady of Peace Parish where she was a longtime member of the Rosary Society, St. Anthony Society, Small Christian Community, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (James) Salone of Penfield, Carol
(Michael) Rusinko of Penn Yan; and her son, Ralph (Patty) Chester of
Geneva; four grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Von Bargen, James Salone Jr.,
Christopher (Diane) Chester and Brian Chester; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and C. J. Von Bargen, Allyson and Courtney Chester; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Armand Chester; and her brothers and sisters, Lt. Anthony Brell, Joseph Brell, Mary Mastrioanni, Nancy Mosca
and Irene Nigro.
