DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. | Doris L. McGohan, 89, formerly of Auburn, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Halifax Health Medical Center, in Daytona Beach, Fla. Doris was born in Auburn, the daughter of the late Julian R. and Gertrude A. Young Stiles. She was a past president of West High School P.T.A., and W. Mynderse Rice American Legion Post No. 97 Auxiliary. Doris was a member of the Central Baptist Church, in Daytona Beach, Fla., and a former member of the First Presbyterian Church, in Auburn. Doris was an employee for Rose Bakery as a clerk for 12 years and an election inspector for the city of Auburn. Surviving is a daughter, Lugene L.White and her husband, Robert, of Montezuma; two sons, Wayne M. McGohan and his wife, Peg, of Oxford, N.C. and James N. McGohan and his companion, Donna, of Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren; David McGohan and his wife, Jennifer, of Clay, Craig McGohan and his wife, Katie, of Skaneateles Falls, Christopher White and his wife, Tracy, of Seneca Falls and Leslea White and her fiancÃ©, David O'Shaughnessy, of Montezuma and great-grandchildren, Madeline, Maxwell, and Noah McGohan. In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her husband, Joseph M. McGohan and a brother, Raymond Stiles. Family and friends are invited to call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Brew Funeral Home, 48 South St., Auburn, following with a funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Wayne Taylor officiating. Interment will take place in the Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.
