AUBURN | Edmund M. Gremli, 90, formerly of Westminster Manor, 81 South St., Auburn, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Finger Lakes Center for Living. Born in Pearl River, N.Y., he was the son of the late Charles and Lillian Gessner Gremli. Edmund was a World War II Army veteran and a graduate of Pearl River High School. He and his late wife, Sylvia lived in Pearl River, where he worked for Fred L. Holt, Inc., for 43 years as a carpenter and supervisor. Following his 1984 retirement, they moved to High Point, N.C. before residing in the Auburn area. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan and enjoyed playing golf well into his 80s. Surviving are two sons, Edmund C. Gremli and his wife, Nancy, of Moravia and Jack L. Gremli and his wife, Carol, of Pearl River; a brother, Kenneth Gremli, of New Jersey; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Seigel Gremli, in 1998. Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at Langham Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow at 1 p.m. A private family burial is planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Edmund's memory may be made to Westminster Manor.
