Ruth M. Brown

PENN YAN - Ruth M. Brown went to sleep peacefully on (November 5, 2012).
She is returning to Penn Yan where her life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday (November 10) at the United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, please offer contributions to the Yates County Art Center and the Heart of America Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association .
She was a kind soft-spoken lady who spoke volumes with her paint brush. She loved the natural beauty of the Keuka Lake area, the sunsets, the wildflowers and the colors of the changing seasons. She watched the grapes from their vineyards ripen from the palest green to that lush burgundy and often captured any stage in a painting. Both family and countless friends will miss her, but feel her presence in an early spring bloom of a trillium.
She is survived by daughter Judy and Dan Lillis.
Ruth will join her husband Erwin W. Brown at the Second Milo Cemetery. She is also predeceased by brothers, Paul, Harold and Kenneth McMaster.
