Phelps - Richard Leon Sinack, age 79, of Lake Road died on Tuesday (November 6, 2012) at home with his loving family.
Friends may call on Thursday (Nov. 8) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cheney Funeral Home 70 Main Street Phelps. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Friday (Nov.9) 10 a.m. at St. Francis Church in Phelps with the Rev. Donald Curtiss officiating. Burial
will be in St. Francis Cemetery.
It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Phelps Vol. Ambulance.
Mr. Sinack was born on June 9, 1933 in Phelps, N.Y. the son of the late Peter and Ruby Bonnell Sinack. He was a member of the Phelps Dart-ball league for over 65 years and played in the Buckhorn Softball League. Mr. Sinack served on the board of FHA. He was a lifelong Dairy and Crop Farmer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Sinack was a devoted husband and father. He supported and taught his grandchildren throughout their lives.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Edith Sinack; children, Carolyn (Robert) Allen, Peter Sinack, Paul (Dorria) Sinack, Janet (Jery)
Barilla and Barbara Sinack; many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too numerous to count; two sisters, Rose (Jackie) Smith and Florence (Louis) White; brother, Walter (Patricia) Sinack.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen DeRuyter and Loretta Backus.
