Amelia "Amy" (Van Hoven) McWilliams BLOOMFIELD - Amelia "Amy" (Van Hoven) McWilliams, age 99, passed away on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Hospeace House in Naples. She is survived by her daughter, Florence (Richard) Wisniewski; and son, Richard (Arleen) McWilliams, both of Bloomfield; three granddaughters, Emily, Sarah and Christine; three great-grandchildren; and niece, Martha McGuire. She was predeceased by her sisters, Margaret Metzger and Dorothy McGuire. Mrs. McWilliams was born in Canandaigua and was the daughter of August and Emily (Vale) Van Hoven. She was raised on Smith Road, in Hopewell, where her father operated a farm. Mrs. McWilliams was a graduate of St. Mary's School in Canandaigua. She retired after 34 years as a telephone operator for Rochester Telephone Company. Mrs. McWilliams was a member of St. Bridget's Church in Bloomfield. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and gardening. There will be no calling hours. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget's Church, 15 Church St., Bloomfield. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pet Pride of New York Inc., 7731 Victor Mendon Road, Victor, NY 14564; or East Bloomfield-Holcomb Fire Department Inc., 105 Main St., P.O.
