CANANDAIGUA - Elaine Colf, 81, passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Friends may call on Monday, October 1, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Kenneth J. Perkins Funeral Home, 2583 E. Main St., Gorham. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Elaine was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mabel Gerlinger Schramm. She had been a cashier at Finger Lakes Race Track. Elaine enjoyed playing euchre and marbles. She was also a bird watcher and loved sunflowers. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James R. Colf Sr.; three children, James R. Colf Jr., Leon (Brenda) Colf and Margo (Steven) Palma; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Phyllis Badger; and several brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by two brothers, Otto and John Schramm; and one sister, Betty Wyffles.
