On Wednesday, officers with the Penn Yan Police Department arrested a Penn Yan man following a traffic stop on McKinley Avenue.

Police stopped a vehicle driven by Robert Wood II, 40, and subsequently charged him with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

Following his arrest, Wood was issued traffic tickets and released. He is scheduled to answer the charges in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
