Lyons Woman Arrested After Domestic Violence Investigation

On Tuesday, deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lyons woman following a domestic violence investigation in the Town of Lyons.

Authorities arrested Shy McCarthy, 22, after responding to a domestic incident. Following an investigation, McCarthy was taken into custody and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

McCarthy was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, assault in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, and menacing in the third degree. She was released after centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court to answer the charges.

 

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
