Ledyard Woman Arrested Following Welfare Fraud Investigation

On Tuesday morning, a Ledyard woman was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office following an investigation into welfare fraud.

Caitlyn Reeves, 33,  was taken into custody at approximately 9:00 a.m.

Reeves has been accused of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Welfare Fraud in the Third Degree, Misuse of Food Stamps valued at over $1,000, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree with Intent to Defraud.

 

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
