Elmira Man Arrested After Incident in Burdett

An Elmira man was arrested following a harassment complaint in Burdett.

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Stephen Jakob was charged with second-degree harassment following an investigation into a complaint on Main Street in the Village of Burdett on May 18th.

Jakob was arraigned in Schuyler County Centralized Arraignment Court and released.

He is scheduled to appear in Hector Town Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
