Two Rochester men were arrested Friday morning after police executed search warrants at two locations in the City of Geneva as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
According to the Geneva Police Department, detectives worked with the Ontario and Wayne County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team to carry out no-knock search warrants at approximately 5 a.m. The warrants were the result of a several-week investigation into the sale of illegal drugs in the city.
Police arrested 29-year-old Shimal Slade and 27-year-old Jakequan Lake and charged them with Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
Investigators allege Slade was selling crack cocaine from a residence on Genesee Street, while Lake was selling crack cocaine from a Lakeview Mental Health apartment building on Exchange Street.

Police noted that Slade was previously arrested in Geneva in September 2025 on a similar charge.
Both men were processed at the Geneva Police Department before being transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
The Geneva Police Department thanked the Ontario, Wayne, and Seneca County Sheriff’s Offices, along with the New York State Police, for assisting with the investigation.
The charges are accusations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
