Two Injured in Monday Morning Genoa Crash

Two people were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a truck and trailer in the Town of Genoa.

According to the Genoa Fire Department, emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 8:40 a.m. to State Route 90 near Indian Field Road for a reported motor vehicle accident. First responders arrived to find a two-vehicle collision at the intersection with heavy damage. Both occupants involved in the crash had already exited their vehicles before emergency personnel arrived.

Genoa Rescue, Southern Cayuga Instant Aid, King Ferry Fire Department, and Four Town Ambulance responded to the scene. Firefighters provided patient care, stabilized the vehicles, and addressed hazards created by the crash.

Information on the extent of the injuries was not immediately available.

The New York State Police and Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office also assisted at the scene.
