Seneca County is unveiling a new Strategic Tourism Development Plan on April 22. Jeff Shipley, President & CEO of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, said the plan was developed with a consulting firm from North Carolina and aims to guide tourism growth over the next five years.

“Tourism in the Finger Lakes area, whether it’s Seneca County, Ontario County, or Cayuga County, is one of the most important economic drivers that we have,” said Shipley. “We are really, really focused on making that a revenue generator for us for many generations to come.”

The release is part of broader efforts that include a new mobile kiosk, app, visitor guide, and website, all designed to make exploring the county easier and encourage repeat visits.
