Four people, including two children, were taken to the hospital following a fully involved structure fire Friday night in the Town of Rose.
According to the Wayne County Sheriffβs Office, deputies were dispatched around 10 p.m. to a home on Wolcott Road, where they arrived to find the structure completely engulfed in flames.
Authorities say two adults and two children were inside the home at the time of the fire but were able to escape safely. All four individuals were transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.
Multiple fire departments responded to the scene, including Rose, North Rose, Wallington, Alton, Savannah, Clyde, Wolcott, and Sodus.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
