Tickets and parking passes for the 2026 Great New York State Fair go on sale this morning.

Sales begin at 9 a.m. for this year’s 13-day fair, which runs from Aug. 26 through Labor Day. General admission costs $8 and includes access to all grounds entertainment, agricultural exhibits, live demonstrations and the Chevrolet Music Series concerts.

Admission remains free for children ages 12 and younger and adults 65 and older.

Officials say this year’s fair will feature expanded programming, including dozens of live performances and demonstrations, returning attractions, new competitions, food and beverages from New York producers, vendors in the Taste NY Marketplace and daily events in the Empire Room.

Governor Kathy Hochul said the fair remains an affordable summer tradition that celebrates New York agriculture while entertaining the entire family.

Fairgoers planning to visit multiple times can purchase a Frequent Fairgoer pass for $25, allowing one admission per day throughout the fair. The pass is non-transferable and available only online.

Parking costs $12 per vehicle.

Tickets and parking can be purchased online beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday through the New York State Fair website or by calling Etix at 800-514-3849. Beginning Aug. 26, tickets will also be available for electronic purchase at kiosks located at all fair entrances.

Advance tickets for the Wade Shows Midway rides will go on sale in the coming weeks.

State Fair Director Julie LaFave encouraged visitors to purchase tickets in advance, noting that nearly 100,000 people visit the fairgrounds each day during the event. She said buying tickets ahead of time can help reduce wait times and give visitors more time to enjoy the fair’s attractions.
