Motorcyclist Killed in Tully Crash

A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a collision with an SUV in the town of Tully.

New York State Police said the crash happened at approximately 11:15 a.m. on State Route 281 near Meeting House Road.

A preliminary investigation determined the SUV was turning left from a parking lot onto Route 281 when it collided with a motorcycle traveling on the highway.

The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity is being withheld until relatives are notified.

The SUV driver was not injured.

The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit and Bureau of Criminal Investigation are assisting with the ongoing investigation. Additional information is expected to be released when it becomes available.
