Ahead of its budget vote and school board member elections next month, the Moravia Central School District is making a change to the voting process.
The district announced that it is partnering with Bold Systems, LLC to switch from paper sign-in books to an electronic sign-in system. The district said the change will better serve the community and help it meet state education department reporting mandates.
The district added that, under the new system, voters will sign in on a digital tablet instead of the old ballot books. All other procedures will remain the same, with voters using a paper ballot and feeding it into a machine for tabulation.
The vote and elections will take place from 7:00a-9:00p on Tuesday, May 19, at the Jr/Sr High School North Side Foyer.
