Lyons Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident Investigation

On Saturday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lyons man following a domestic incident on Water Street.

Deputies responded to the residence around 8:00 p.m. for a reported disturbance. Following an investigation, it is alleged that James Watt, 49, placed his hands around a victim’s neck, causing her to fear for her life.

Watt was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree. He was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing and held for centralized arraignment. He is scheduled to answer the charge in Lyons Town Court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
