Two juveniles have been charged following a stabbing at a Seneca Falls trailer park that left one teen seriously injured.

According to Seneca Falls Police, officers responded around 10:20 p.m. on May 20 to investigate an assault that had occurred about an hour earlier. One juvenile suffered multiple stab wounds and was flown by helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Investigators determined the two juveniles were involved in an altercation that began while they were engaged in illegal drug activity. Police say one of the juveniles fired a BB gun, striking the other before the confrontation escalated into a physical fight. During the fight, one juvenile allegedly stabbed the other multiple times.

As a result of the investigation, one juvenile was charged on Tuesday with second-degree menacing and third-degree assault. The second juvenile was arrested on Wednesday with first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Both juveniles were issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty
