A meeting next week will let residents of three Cayuga County villages see which projects are being considered for a part of their $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) funding.
The Cayuga, Aurora, and Union Springs DRI Local Panning Committee (LPC) will hold its next meeting from 4:30-7:30p on Tuesday, October 1, at the Union Springs Fire Hall.
Project sponsors will present their projects followed by a brief Q&A. This information will be used to help the LPC decide which projects to include in its Strategic Investment Plan (SIP) which will be sent to the Department of State. The state will then select which projects from the SIP will receive funding.
The SIP will be sent out in December with awardees expected to be announced by spring 2025.
For those who can’t attend the event in person, it will be streamed on Zoom.
An online survey has also been launched for residents to view each project and weigh in on whether it should be considered for funding.
