With the Cayuga County Office Building being closed for the summer, the county legislature has moved where it holds its meetings.
Committee and full legislature meetings will be held at the Ward O’Hara Agricultural Museum and Joseph F Karpinski Senior Educational Center.
The office building was closed on May 29 after vermiculite, a mineral that possibly contains asbestos, was found on several window frames following heavy rains. It will remain closed until roof repairs can be made, something anticipated to be completed at the end of August.
A January windstorm had previously closed the offices, leading the legislature to fast-track planned renovations to the 58-year-old building.
