Andrew M. Grills joined University of Rochester Thompson Health as director of Diagnostic Imaging. He brings 17 years of experience in imaging and healthcare operations to the role.
Grills, a Farmington resident, is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in radiography, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Most recently, he served as manager of Specialty Imaging Services at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in McCandless, Pa., where he led strategic imaging initiatives, managed equipment projects, and helped increase MRI patient volume.
At F.F. Thompson Hospital, Grills oversees X-ray, CT, Interventional Radiology, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and the Breast Imaging Center. The hospital conducted nearly 115,000 DI exams in 2025.
Grills is currently pursuing both a Master of Healthcare Administration and a Master of Business Administration at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix and an Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology from the University of Akron in Ohio.
