Ithaca and Watkins Glen are already at 92° at midday, and both are forecast to reach 99° before the day is done. Limit time outdoors this afternoon, check on neighbors, and get into air conditioning if you can. The advisory lifts at 8 PM as the airmass gradually relaxes overnight. Wednesday stays warm — highs near 90° — but lower humidity will make it far more manageable. A slow cool-down follows through the back half of the week, with highs dropping to the low 80s by Friday and light rain chances arriving by the weekend.
