A Penn Yan woman was arrested following a disturbance investigation at a residence on Hamilton Street.

According to Penn Yan Police, 23-year-old Noel Felton was taken into custody after officers responded to a reported disturbance at the residence. Police say the investigation determined Felton became upset with other residents and allegedly activated a fire alarm in retaliation.

Felton was charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident and issued an appearance ticket.

She is scheduled to appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
