An Auburn man faces a felony drug charge following an investigation into a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in April.

The arrest of 41-year-old Jason Bergerstock stems from a motor vehicle accident on April 24 when deputies responded to a multiple-vehicle crash on Grant Avenue Road near the intersection of Nelson Road in the Town of Sennett. Bergerstock was transported to Upstate Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries sustained in the crash.

A subsequent investigation determined that Bergerstock was allegedly in possession of a controlled substance at the time of the incident. Following the execution of an arrest warrant, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

Bergerstock was held for centralized arraignment and released with a future return date for the Town of Sennett Court.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
