Finger Lakes Community Health (FLCH) is exploring the potential for Mosaic Health to become part of its organization. Officials said joining forces would enable the two organizations to share resources, expand their collective reach, and “be a stronger force for good in their communities.” The combined organization would continue to provide medical, dental, behavioral health, and care management services.
“Mosaic Health joining FLCH would strengthen our ability to serve diverse communities, enhance health outcomes, and give us a more influential voice in advocating for community health as our patient needs evolve. Together, we would be more resilient, more resourceful, and better positioned to empower healthier lives for all,” said Mary Zelazny, CEO of Finger Lakes Community Health.
Rochester-based Mosaic Health and Penn Yan-based Finger Lakes Community Health serve nearly 43,000 patients across Upstate. Both are Community Health Centers—part of a nationwide program that serves more than 32.5 million people across the U.S. In fact, 1 in 8 New York State residents is a patient at their local CHC.
“The need to provide healthcare services to more communities is important, which is why we’re exploring joining FLCH,” said Michael Leary, CEO & President of Mosaic Health. “FLCH understands the patients we serve, and together, we would be stronger and offer more services. Our patients would not see any changes in their experiences other than expanded availability of care.”
Pending due diligence and regulatory and board of directors’ approval, Mosaic could join FLCH by the end of 2025. The name of the combined organization would be determined later. The current focus is to do the due diligence and consider the opportunities between the two organizations.
