The deadline for high school musicians to apply to win $3,000 is fast approaching.
Students ages 13-18 from Onondaga, Oswego, Cayuga, Tompkins, Madison, Oneida, and Cortland Counties can apply for the Skaneateles Festival’s annual Robinson Award.
Named in memory of the festival’s founders, David and Louise Robinson, the award was founded in 2002 to honor students who are accomplished performers embodying the Robinsons’ values of enthusiasm and dedication to music.
New for 2025, the cash prize awarded to winners has been increased from $2,000 to $3,000. Winners may also be invited to perform at future festivals.
Applications are due April 1. Eligibility and application info can be found here.
The Skaneateles Festival is a four-week music festival dedicated to bringing world-class music to the Fingerlakes. This year, the festival will run from July 31 to August 23.
