A grand opening is set for Monday at Cayuga Health’s newest facility located at the Ithaca Mall, ensuring ease of access and exceptional care for patients.
Cardiology marks the first service to commence operations on Monday. Formerly located in two separate facilities on Triphammer Road and Island Health and Fitness in downtown Ithaca, Cayuga Heart and Vascular is now together in one convenient location.
Cayuga Health will further expand services in the facility in the following weeks. This staggered implementation will help minimize disruption in providing patient care. Cayuga Primary Care (formerly located at Brentwood Drive and Trumansburg Road) and Cayuga Rheumatology (formerly located at Community Corners) will open on April 8.
“As we open the doors of our latest facility at the Ithaca Mall, we’re not just providing care, we’re creating a new standard of accessibility and excellence,” said Jeff Penoyer, Vice President of Ambulatory Services and Chief Operating Officer of Cayuga Medical Associates. “This milestone marks a pivotal moment in Cayuga Health’s journey, symbolizing our unwavering commitment to serving our community with top-notch healthcare services.”

The more than 60,000 square foot space will house an increased number of exam rooms with updated equipment to provide patients a cohesive and efficient experience. A TCAT bus stop is located just outside the doors of Cayuga Health at Ithaca Mall, allowing greater access for many patients.
Additional amenities include ample parking, wheelchair accessibility, an onsite laboratory, and easy-to-use kiosks for appointment check-in.
