Ryan Bailey, a Williamson man, faces felony child exploitation charges.

On Tuesday, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested a 24-year-old Williamson man following an extensive investigation into child exploitation.

Ryan Bailey was taken into custody and charged with Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class D felony, and six counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class E felony.

The investigation originated from a CyberTipline report received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which flagged a social media account for allegedly uploading suspected child sexual abuse material. Following a probe by the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, authorities determined that Bailey allegedly possessed and promoted multiple files containing illegal material and distributed them to others via online platforms.

On October 17, 2024, investigators executed a search warrant at Bailey’s residence in the town of Williamson. Multiple electronic devices were seized and later analyzed by the New York State Police Computer Forensic Laboratory, which reportedly revealed numerous images and videos depicting the sexual exploitation of minors.

Bailey was processed at SP Williamson without incident and transported to the Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.

The investigation was conducted with assistance from the Troop E Computer Crimes Unit, the Computer Forensic Laboratory, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
