Palmyra Man Arrested Following Williamson Crash

On Tuesday, the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Village of Palmyra man following a motor vehicle accident on Walworth Ontario Road in the Town of Williamson.

Deputies arrested Jordan Hoyt, 33, for allegedly driving while intoxicated. It is alleged that Hoyt was traveling northbound when his vehicle left the roadway and collided with a utility pole. No injuries were reported in the crash.

Following the incident, Hoyt was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for processing. He reportedly submitted to a chemical test, which resulted in a blood alcohol content of .17%.

Hoyt was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or Higher, Moving from Lane Unsafely, and Failure to Notify the DMV of an Address Change.

Hoyt was released on appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ontario Court at a later date to answer the charges.

The charges are accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Police reports are automatically removed from this site after 90 days.
