A new traffic pattern will soon take effect at a busy Ontario County intersection in the Town of Victor.

The Ontario County Department of Public Works announced that the intersection of County Road 9 at Lane Road and Lynaugh Road will be converted from a two-way stop to a four-way stop.

The change is scheduled to take effect on Monday and will be permanent.

Officials say the update will require all traffic approaching the intersection to stop, replacing the current configuration where only certain directions are required to yield.

Drivers traveling through the area are advised to use caution and be prepared for the new traffic pattern once it is in place.
