Dunk & Bright Furniture will close its longtime Syracuse showroom on South Salina Street as part of a plan to consolidate operations at its Clay location.

In a message to customers, company owner Joe Bright said the move is a strategic decision aimed at improving efficiency and customer service by centralizing inventory and staff.

“Dunk & Bright is not going out of business,” Bright said, noting the company will shift its full focus to the Clay store to streamline delivery logistics and enhance the overall shopping experience.

The Syracuse location will remain open for a limited time as the company conducts a closing sale, offering discounted prices on floor samples and in-store inventory.

Bright said customer orders, warranties, and service needs will continue without interruption and will be handled through the Clay location.

The closure marks the end of nearly a century of retail presence on South Salina Street. Bright said the family-owned business is evolving to ensure it can continue serving Central New York customers into the future.

In addition, the approximately six-acre Syracuse property and buildings will be listed for sale in the coming weeks.
