State Police Identify Motorcyclist Killed in Tully Crash

New York State Police have released the names of the people involved in a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Wednesday morning in Onondaga County.

The crash happened at approximately 11:15 a.m. on Wednesday along State Highway 281 in the town of Tully, near the intersection of Meeting House Road.  According to a preliminary investigation, a sport utility vehicle was turning left from a parking lot onto State Highway 281 when it collided with a motorcycle traveling on the highway.

State Police identified the motorcyclist as 26-year-old Jacob Lyman of Homer. Investigators said Lyman was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was identified as 73-year-old Robert Brhel of Fabius. He was not injured in the crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
