The Seneca Falls Library is warning residents about suspected phishing emails that appear to be coming from a library employee’s email account.

In a social media post on Friday, library officials said they became aware of emails circulating that appear to originate from Tara’s email address. The messages reportedly contain “Save the Date” notices or invitations.

The library is advising anyone who receives one of the emails not to open it or click on any links contained within the message. Recipients are encouraged to delete the emails immediately.

Library officials said they are actively investigating the issue and working to resolve it as quickly as possible.

The library apologized for the inconvenience and urged the public to remain cautious when opening unexpected emails.
