Schuyler County 911 Center Earns First-Ever State Accreditation

Schuyler County’s 911 Center has received its first-ever accreditation, marking a major milestone for emergency communications in the county.

The recognition was announced alongside New York State Sheriffs’ Association Executive Director Peter Kehoe, Sheriff Kevin Rumsey, 911 Supervisor Judson Smith, Emergency Management Director Kirk Smith, and Undersheriff Craig Bianco.

Officials say the accreditation highlights the professionalism and dedication of the county’s communications staff, as well as the strong partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Services.

The designation recognizes the center’s ability to meet established standards for emergency communications, reinforcing its role in providing reliable and coordinated response services across Schuyler County.
