One of the Finger Lakes regionβs most historic wineries is now on the market.
Pleasant Valley Wine Company, founded in 1860, has been listed for sale at $4.9 million, according to a commercial real estate listing.
Located on Pleasant Valley Road in Hammondsport, the property spans approximately 379,475 square feet and includes 21 buildings. Eight of those structures are built of stone and are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The listing notes the property is fully equipped for continued winery operations, featuring everything from grape-crushing equipment to bottling lines. It also includes six wine and champagne brand names tied to the business.
In addition to production facilities, the site features a welcome center with a museum, tasting area, retail shop, and theater, making it a longstanding destination for visitors to the region.
According to the brokerage listing, the property could continue operating as a winery or potentially be redeveloped for another use.
