Pediatric care is returning to the Geneva General Hospital campus this summer as University of Rochester Medicine Finger Lakes Health expands access to healthcare services in the region.
Two pediatricians are expected to join the health system in the coming months, with Dr. Rice beginning in July and Dr. Perry expected to start in September.
The pediatric practice will be located on the second floor of the Medical Office Building on the Geneva General campus alongside Finger Lakes Health Primary Care, where providers including Dr. Ekunasi and Dr. Platzer currently practice.
The addition is part of a broader effort by UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health to expand healthcare services throughout the Finger Lakes.
“We’re very excited for all the growth and all the increased access to care that we’re bringing to the community,” UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health spokesperson Kim Ilaqua said.
Ilaqua also highlighted several specialty providers expected to join the health system later this year, including a female sports orthopedic surgeon in October and a rheumatologist in November.
The health system also reminded patients to enroll in MyChart ahead of Finger Lakes Health’s transition to the Epic electronic health record system on Nov. 1. According to Ilaqua, the change will allow providers across the system to access patient information in real time and collaborate more effectively on care.
